Rim Refurbishment & Repair
Our team of engineering specialists is backed by advanced equipment and technologies designed to maximize the productivity, performance and safety of your off-road fleet.
There are many factors which affect the rate at which earthmover wheels fatigue. Extreme heat is produced by the continual flexing of the tyres and the load is eventually transferred to the wheel base. Even though some wheel bases are made from 20 mm rolled steel the base material can flex by up to 10 mm on any one rotation of the tyre. This fatigue and wear is not only evident in the wheel base but also in the wheel components such as flanges, bead seat bands and lock rings. Other factors, including corrosion and adverse operating regimes, can exacerbate fatigue and wear.
